Macron teams up with Scottish Rugby for special centenary Murrayfield stadium kit/collection

​Italian sportswear giant Macron is continuing its long association with rugby union, co-producing a special kit and casualwear collection for Scottish Rugby.

Next month, the pair unveil a “new and unique” Scotland jersey, as part of the celebrations of its national stadium, Murrayfield, highlighting its 100th anniversary.

The jersey will be worn when Scotland face New Zealand on 8 November in the ‘Centenary Test’. The special ‘Murrayfield 100’ kit will be worn at the All-Blacks game, “some 36,757 days after the Scotland team first graced the stadium”.

It features a navy-blue shirt with a white polo collar and a two-button placket. Inside the collar runs a customised tape bearing the word Scotland alternated with the Scottish Rugby logo. The sleeve cuffs also include a tonal graphic inspired by the stadium’s metal framework.

Embroidered in gold on the left sleeve are the words ‘Murrayfield Stadium 1925–2025’. On the chest, the ‘Macron Hero’ is embroidered tone-on-tone on the right, while on the left sits the first historic Scottish Rugby Union crest in white. Scottish Rugby’s current logo is embroidered tone-on-tone on the right sleeve.

The kit is completed by white shorts featuring the historic SRU crest and the Macron Hero, both embroidered in gold on the thighs.

As with all garments produced by Macron for Scottish Rugby, the kit is made from ‘Eco Fabrics’ – 100% polyester derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. Replica jerseys are priced at £85, Junior jerseys at £69, and Bodyfit jerseys at £115.

The kit is complemented by the ‘Icon Capsule Collection’, which includes a black polo shirt, a high-neck full-zip sweatshirt, travel jacket and trousers. All items feature the Scottish Rugby logo and the Macron Hero, applied in white silicone with a 3D effect.
