M&S burnishes fashion credentials further in 16Arlington collab

M&S and 16Arlington aren’t two brands that we’d automatically think of working well together, but with the former boosting its own brand and collab fashionability of late, the two are launching a major collab.

The retail giant has just unveiled its link-up with the London Fashion Week favourite and it includes a high-profile campaign fronted by Georgian May Jagger.
It’s a party season collab (no surprise there given 16Arlington’s overall fashion profile) featuring high-octane glam pieces such as a crystal slip, a feather-trimmed top, a beaded skirt, tuxedo suit and satin shirt, as well as can’t-miss-it items like a shaggy long coat, leather biker jacket and leather trousers. Think cocktails as well as full-on parties.
Prices are entry level premium with the two pieces of the tux suit adding up to £240, the satin shirt at £95, the leather jacket at £280, the coat at £295, the crystal maxi dress at £250 and the feather top at £130.

The 43-piece collection includes bags, shoes and jewellery as well as the clothes in sizes XS (6) to XL (18/20). And while there’s a hint of colour (silver, green), black is the dominant tone.
16Arlington founder a creative director Marco Capaldo said it’s not all about making “cheaper versions of luxury items, but to bring that luxury aesthetic and attention to detail to pieces that can be part of anyone’s wardrobe”.

As mentioned, M&S has been diving deeper into collections with a strong fashion edge of late and collabs are a key part of this. The 16Arlington link-up comes hot on the heels of its return for a second Bella Freud collaboration following the sellout success of its first one a year ago.
